Logjam that’s “For You”

I’m wondering if other readers are experiencing what I have been for the last few days, namely a “For You” list on this ineffable platform that is a logjam at best and a glacier at worse.

This is what I’ve been getting and no matter how many times I refresh its the same list even if the order slightly changes or there’s one different story in the list.

Is there anything wrong with these stories or authors? No. I just don’t want to read them. I just want see something different. Is this what the Algo Recommendation Singularity looks like?

Where is Eeyore, er I mean Jessica Wildfire (whom I generally agree with) or that BTC maximalist and crypto utopian Isaiah McCall (whom i general don’t) or the enlightening William Spivey ?. Please don’t make me go to another tab.

I want you to know I’m a lazy schmuck with severe NSP traits (ooh! shiny shiny!) and this is compromising my morning median and mocka espresso routine.

Once apon a time you could swipe on a story in your list and just flick it off.

This logjam is not good for me or authors as its a disincentive to come back and read more.

Is this all about me? `Ken Oath! Though I am hoping you can see the broader issue here.

Time to crack the whip over the Algo’s and their writers.

PS: Don’t bother following me but please do respond with your experience. I’m hoping that's what will boost the story to the attention of the editors (hence the oblique references to dodge the dissent thwarting algos)

NB: This story is unmetered.

PPS: Writing articles in a browser on medidumbs web site on an iPhone, sucks doggy doodles. I don’t know what they were thinking when they dropped that feature from phones. Kudos to those who write all the time.
